/signed for hair + colour change and also gender cange.
I haven't registered on here even though this is my major source of GW info but after reading this one and the thread in Sadelac Sanitarium on the same subject I decided its time. I started playing GW after a good year on another mmo (not sure if i can metion the name or not but we'll just say it was a pants almost 2d style mmo) where they allowed characters to change hair styles including dye it and also the base clothing (I guess that would be the underwear in this case) for a price... but they also had a "mage" who could change the gender of characters (also for a price, and it was a little costly but I was willing to pay) which i would LOOOOVE to see. My Necro and my warrior both look... "wrong" male. I'd love to be able to chage them for the better looking armour available for females. Unless anet plan on changing male armour to something more... stylish.
So I'm definately signing for hair + gender modifying.

Just from an economics standpoint this would be a great gold sink. Just make a wizard called a "Shapechanger" or something that would let you change your hair, face, skin color, height, and gender. Maybe mixing features between prophecies and factions would be cool, if possible (if you own both versions, of course, and if it wouldn't mess with the asian theme too much). I know lots of people want a prophecy face but factions hair for their necro, and I would like to have the curly factions hair for my mesmer. Plus, my mesmer could use a couple extra inches, and I'm sick of my near-albino ranger. I think this would be something great for Anet to consider, and it would result in a lot of happy people. Besides, the PVP characters get to change their appearance any time they want...

Tonight, when Gaile was answering questions, she said this was a popular suggestion but doubted it would come into effect anytime soon, possibly not even this chapter, if at all.

It's a nice to have, but not a must have. Also, limiting the number of changes would be good.

I loved the new hair styles for female mesmer and ranger. It would be wonderful to have at least a one time change per chapter, or even better the option to purchase a new hair/color and swap between them to suit mood.
I would imagine the later would be a storage issue for arena.net, but a girl can dream.

we should be able to mix the styles from both chapters, maybe there should be a recreate button in the menu that u can only use when u add a chapter or something

It becomes a slippery slope of disposable charcters - just like PvP chars.

If they gonna intoduce anything like that then hair styles would be it.
I do not support changing faces though.
I know this will never happen but I wish there is a way (even if I had to play gold) to change the name of characters.
If there is one it should be a one time deal and you have to pay 10k or something like that.
Althought I doubt this will ever happen.

Pretty much. I look at a character very much like a person - they are the way they are. Gender, face, eyes, and hair color simply could not be changed in a world like GW (well, I guess you could go so far as to say that the hair color could magically be changed because I doubt necros are born with green hair for example, but you get the idea).
I think that hairstyle would be enough, personally. Some of us change our hairstyles daily, and an occasional change for a character isn't too out there. Gender change? I'm of the mind that if you wanted a character of that gender, you should create one. It's just too much. It's basically saying, "I have a level 20 character and want to change everything about them so I have a completely new character that I didn't have to get to this level."
Personally, I'm just creating a new character or two for Factions to take advantage of the new options, and loving my exisiting characters just the way they are. I put a lot of thought into creating them and deciding how they look, and I wouldn't want to change that. The character simply wouldn't be the "same" character. To test this, I thought, well, my level 9 monk, he really isn't THAT far, I could recreate him for Factions.
... but nothing looked like the Monk I know and love, so if I create another Monk for Factions, it'll be a completely different looking one.

/signed - for hair style and hair color only. Make it cost some amount of gold. Great gold sink as someone mentioned earlier.

You made a character to play in a PvE environment and now you like the "looks" of another character set better?
Too bad! Deal with the choices you have made or delete/create a new character.
